Membership Rules

 
Thank you for joining Koa Counsel! Our community is dedicated to advancing, supporting, and connecting women in law. To ensure a positive experience for all members, please review the key membership guidelines below.
 
1. Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals who identify as women and are licensed attorneys or law students committed to supporting Koa Counsel’s mission and values.
 
2. Membership and Membership Renewal
 Membership is offered on an annual basis and must be paid in full. Membership automatically renews at the end of each annual term. Members will be charged using the payment method on file at the time of renewal. All membership fees are non‑refundable unless otherwise stated, including in cases where access to benefits, programs, or services is suspended, terminated, or otherwise restricted before the end of the membership period
 
3. Member Conduct
All members are expected to:
  • Act professionally and respectfully in all interactions.
  • Uphold confidentiality for discussions and materials shared in member-only settings.
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or any behavior that undermines our inclusive community.
  • Comply with all Koa Counsel policies, including the Terms of Use.
4. Events and Programs
  • Members are encouraged to participate in events, workshops, and programs.
5. Code of Conduct
Koa Counsel is committed to a safe, professional, and inclusive environment. Members are expected to:
  • Treat others with respect and value diverse perspectives.
  • Maintain professionalism in all community interactions.
  • Support collaboration, mentorship, and networking within the community.
Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of membership.
 
6. Privacy and Communications
Your information will be handled according to Koa Counsel’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. You may manage your communication preferences at any time.
 
7.  Non-Transferable
Membership is non‑transferable and does not admit any other individual (unless you are fully sponsored by your employer and your employer has requested transferability of your Membership in their agreement with Koa Counsel)
 
8. Acknowledgment
By joining or renewing your membership, you agree to abide by these Membership Rules, and all other Koa Counsel policies, including the Terms of Use.
